Another Step Taken

Our first home study went well. :) We are required to have three more. The next is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Jan. 9. Our social worker will walk through our home (inside and outside), and she will also interview dh and I individually. We very much appreciate your prayers as we continue this journey. God has been so good to us thus far, and we eagerly await His blessings as we follow this path He set before us.

Daddy

My daughter is blessed to have such a good daddy. Here he is playing a Hannah Montana game in which he has to do some "Hannah" moves. Now, if that's not a good daddy, I don't know what is! LOL

Waiting

Our home study got rescheduled to this Monday evening. I know it's only a couple of days' difference, but I'm so ready to take the next step in our adoption journey. Please pray for me as I learn (once again) to wait patiently on God's perfect timing.

One Step Closer

Our social worker called today. We have our home study tentatively scheduled for Sat., Dec. 27. I am excited and nervous! Please pray for us as we continue this adoption journey. We know that God has a special little girl for us! As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we will also celebrate God's goodness and faithfulness as He brings us closer to the vision He placed in our hearts. We can't wait until we go to China to get our little girl!

Old Toys

It was really cool to see my 5 year old having so much fun with a Slinky. It brought back memories of my childhood. It's refreshing to know that in this day and time filled with high-tech toys, the simple joy of some toys never goes out of style.

Happy Anniversary

Today I have been married for 11 years. I thank God for my husband, and I thank Him for giving us this love we have for one another. I pray that we will have many more years together. I cannot imagine anyone else I'd rather grow old with than my wonderful husband.

Soda Bottle Bird Feeders

These are really cool and easy to make. We hung them this morning, and we've already seen several birds eating the seeds. :)

Our Bird Study

We are learning about birds. We read about a different bird each day, as well as its nest and eggs. Today we decorated a tree for the birds. We strung cranberries and popcorn and hung them on a tree outside. Now we just sit back and wait on the birds to come. :)
