1984 by: George Orwell

I just finished reading this book, and I'm so mad!!! I don't like the way it ended...AT ALL!!! My oldest finished it last week (he's 16.) He didn't like the ending either, but he's laughing at me b/c I'm so worked up about it. Now, I know that it ended the only way it could-it had to end that way so that the necessary point was not lost and so that the reader was truly impacted by it. Still, I like happy endings, and it wasn't. It is a great book, though, & I highly recommend it.

Father's Day Duel

Fun in the Sun

With temperatures reaching into the 100's, what better way to get cool on a steaming hot day?

Quilt for Baby Sister

Now we're praying for a quick LID, LOA, and TA. If you don't know what those abbreviations are, then obviously you've never adopted from China. LOL

A Legacy of Love and Faith

This year I've had to bid farewell to the last of my grandparents - my father's mother and father. While I'm sad to see the...
