1984 by: George Orwell

I just finished reading this book, and I'm so mad!!! I don't like the way it ended...AT ALL!!! My oldest finished it last week (he's 16.) He didn't like the ending either, but he's laughing at me b/c I'm so worked up about it. Now, I know that it ended the only way it could-it had to end that way so that the necessary point was not lost and so that the reader was truly impacted by it. Still, I like happy endings, and it wasn't. It is a great book, though, & I highly recommend it.

Father's Day Duel

Fun in the Sun

With temperatures reaching into the 100's, what better way to get cool on a steaming hot day?

Quilt for Baby Sister

My mom helped Doodles make this quilt for Sweet Baby Girl. Big Sister Doodles was so proud, and we can't wait until we get to wrap our precious little one from China in this gift of love. :-)

WOO HOO!!! Our Dossier...

will be sent to China this Friday, June 19!!! We're one step closer to our baby girl! These are our stats: DOR: March 27, 2009; LOI: March 28, 2009; and now DTC: June 19, 2009. Now we're praying for a quick LID, LOA, and TA. If you don't know what those abbreviations are, then obviously you've never adopted from China. LOL

Self-Care That's Not So Fun

As promised in my previous post, I am now going to talk about self-care that's not so much fun. This kind of self-care involves thin...
