Blog Name Change

I've changed the name of my blog to "Walking By Faith" to reflect the recent and still ongoing things that God is teaching me. So much of our adoption was done by walking in faith, even when the obstacles seemed insurmountable. We are blessed to be a part of what God is doing, and we continue to walk by faith daily. The web address will remain the same.

So Blessed

I'm so blessed. I just can't praise God enough for blessing me with my wonderful family. Is it easy? No. Do we always get along perfectly? No. Do we love each other? Absolutely! Would I trade the sometimes chaotic, sometimes exhausting life we have? Never!

Kids Cook Weekend

Doodles cooked Friday night: nachos and then M&M ice cream cones for dessert. Bug cooked Saturday night. He made lasagna, garlic bread, & salad, and then he made homemade M&M cookies and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Yummy!!!

Staying Warm

It's so cold here! We're actually experiencing real winter temps. We've been spending lots of time indoors--drinking hot chocolate and relaxing. As you can see, my oldest looks as if he's gone quite stir crazy....a little reminiscent of Jack Nicholson in "The Shining." LOL

Even in the chaos, there's peace. Even in the struggles, there's joy. Sometimes it still feels surreal: we finally have our daughter home with us. I look back on all the paperwork, all the waiting, all the wondering and it amazes me how it seemed to drag so slowly yet pass by so quickly. We've been home for 16 days now, and I still can't believe how blessed I am. It all feels like a dream at times...well except for the laundry-that's more like a nightmare!

Self-Care That's Not So Fun

As promised in my previous post, I am now going to talk about self-care that's not so much fun. This kind of self-care involves thin...
