Homeschool and Life: First half of Dec. 2012

Before I start this blog post, I first want to say that my prayers and my heartfelt sympathy go out to the families and others who lost precious loved ones in Friday's tragedy. May God comfort them and give them peace as only He can.

December is truly a whirlwind month for us! In addition to celebrating Christmas, we also have hubby's and my wedding anniversary, Baby Girl's Forever Family Day, and Doodles' birthday. Here are a few snapshots of our life lately:

Homeschooling and Life: Week of Nov. 26-Dec. 1, 2012

We have had another good week. We are transitioning into that busy time of the year, but we will still get some schooling done. We will also take a break for Christmas, but that will be a few weeks away. For now, we are in full school mode! Doodles is still learning about China in Sonlight Core F and enjoying weekly nature studies. Bug is still enjoying his Narnia unit study, which has led us to several great topics this week: the Ottoman Empire, life after death, the seven ancient wonders of the world, and the seven natural wonders of the world...just to name a few. Baby Girl is learning to count and also learning her colors using M&M's, which are her absolute favorite candy!  Also, we have done our Christmas decorating. Baby Girl is having a blast getting into the decorations! And, speaking of Christmas, I've also included a couple of low carb desserts I made for Thanksgiving. Just because it's the holidays doesn't mean I will slip in my low carb lifestyle! So, with a little bit of everything, here are some moments from this week:
