Okay, so....I'll be using this in a few months for "Bug":
Sonlight Core K
And I'll be using this for "Doodles":
Sonlight Core 3+4
We've enjoyed Ambleside, but it's just not going to work for us long term. Sonlight is a much better fit for us. We've used it in the past, and after much thought & looking ahead, I've decided to go back to Sonlight & have all plans of sticking with it for the duration. I'm going to "beef up" Core K for Bug, adding in more challenging reading as necessary. I feel like Core 3+4 would be too difficult for him this coming school year, but it's perfect for Doodles. Baby Girl will continue with her curriculum: lots of creative play, classical music, and read-alouds--and of course she listens in to her siblings' lessons! We will continue to use Ambleside's art, composer, and nature study lessons. They're wonderful!

Homeschooling is a constant process of tweaking and changing. That's the awesome gift of homeschooling, isn't it :D WE get to customize our children's education! I just love that freedom! :D Enjoy the journey, girl!
You're right, Miranda. :)
I do drool over the sunlight catalog! lol We like to read around here, but I don't find it something I could do with a family of our size. Unless everyone was reading the same thing ;) I do use a lot of their reading suggestions. Do you use Sonlight exclusively? Math, LA etc?
Blessings,
Christy
Christy, we use SL for History, Reading, & Read-Alouds, which is the "Core" and also for Science & LA. If you chose to use SL, you could group your kids that are close in age together. :) I'll be teaching two different cores this upcoming year for the first time, & I'll be blogging about it, so feel free to follow our journey here.
I'll do that Jennifer! I look forward to getting a peek into your Sonlight journey!
Blessings,
Christy
We did the same thing. We did Core K (A), then we tested the waters with another curriculum. I am back with SL Core B now, as it just fits us better. It also fits me better, which helps make our days smoother and more enjoyable. If Mama ain't happy, ain't no one happy. ;)
Hi, Julie. Thanks for stopping by & sharing your SL experience!
Hi there! Found you through the SL blog roll hop.
We will be doing P4/5 and Core A this year.
GOing to 'follow' your blog. Stop in and see us too, if you get the chance!
I love linking up with other Sonlighters!

We're using Core A (formerly K) again this year (I feel like I have this memorized now!) and Core B+C. We did more of an eclectic thing last year, but I'm glad to be back to Sonlight this year!
