Homeschooling and Life: Week of Jan. 20-24, 2014

We had another good week. It was really, really cold here. We even got a little snow, which is definitely out of the norm for us. This week Bug learned about bugs using The Weaver Curriculum...cool, huh?  It is a great fit for him. Doodles is studying The Middle Ages in Oak Meadow, which we are really enjoying. Baby Girl is learning several different things using the developmental curriculum Flowering Baby, and I just can't say enough good things about it. If you have a baby or young child, I encourage you to check it out. It is wonderful! For the FIAR co-op class I teach, we read Katy and the Big Snow. We had a great time. I also encourage you to check this curriculum out as well. Here's a look into our week:

For my FIAR class, we made snow paint.

We also made snow dough.

OK, that dusting of snow cracked me up! We don't have any, either--even though the rest of the nation seems to!

Hahaha! I know. We only get snow maybe once every 10-15 years. But they are predicting it for us tomorrow and Wednesday of this week. I am sooo excited!!! This time it might actually accumulate.
