India Studies and a Recipe

We're doing Sonlight Core 1, and I also add in some extras here and there. Right now we're digging a little deeper into the festivals held in certain countries. Today we read about India's festivals, and then we made this delicious Indian treat. It's called burfi, and it is SO delicious. Here is the recipe:

Burfi

1 lb. roasted cashews

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Butter

1 tsp. flour

Crush the cashews with a rolling pin. Mix half the ground cashews, the condensed milk, and the flour in a saucepan. Cook the mixture for a few minutes until it is almost solid. Grease a baking dish with butter. Press the cashew mixture into the greased pan. Pour the remaining cashews over the top and press them into the mixture. Let it cool and then slice it.
