One year ago today....referral day. I was sitting on the couch cuddling and reading to my children...we were studying ancient Egypt and reading about mummies and King Tut in our homeschooling. Just another day, but then the phone rang...it was Holt International--our adoption agency. I wasn't prepared to hear the words that were spoken...it was a shock and a wonderful surprise. We had been matched with a little girl who had recently turned one....she had a vision problem....would we be interested in looking at her file? Oh, would we ever! A few minutes later, thanks to the wonderful invention called the internet, I was looking at my daughter for the first time. I immediately fell in love. Joyous day! Happy anniversary! Isn't it amazing how much can change in a year? Now you have your beautiful daughter home with you!
It is truly amazing. While you're going through the process it seems that time drags by. Funny now that it's hard to believe an entire year has gone by.
I love those little glasses on her. Naia still lights up when she sees Rinnah's picture.
That is so sweet. :) Naia is such a precious little girl.
