Homeschooling: Week of March 11-15, 2013

We had a great school week. Really! It was relaxed and peaceful...yikes, does that mean this coming week will be the opposite? Let's hope not. Other than dealing with some sickies (sore throats, runny noses, slight body aches and weakness), we are doing well. Here is a look at some of our favorite schooling moments this week:

Treat of the Week

Two books I am using for Baby Girl's "schooling"

Baby Girl gets into her toy...don't you just love that little tush up in the air?

Baby Girl plays with these beautiful blocks that my mom gave her for her birthday.

Bug read about snakes as part of his Narnia unit study.

This is the worksheet that Bug completed about snakes.

Bug read this book as part of his Narnia studies. We read the story of The Golden Touch.

Bug read about the game of cricket.

Then he watched a video of a cricket game.

Doodles worked on another part of her freehanded map for Oak Meadow Sixth Grade.

Doodles wrote this report for an Oak Meadow 6 Ancient History and English assignment.

Doodles planted carrot, radish, and bean seeds for Oak Meadow Science 6.

We bought raw peanuts so Doodles could....

prepare to plant them for another OM Science 6 assignment.

We roasted some leftover peanuts.

And we boiled some others.
Doodles painted this for her art assignment in this book.

Doodles had to write and decorate The Ten Commandments as part of another OM History assignment.

I am "stealing" the Ten Commandments assignment idea. We are working on memorizing them right now. :)
